Well I, for one, will be sleeping with the lights on tonight. Self proclaimed psychedelic spacerockers Phased (...) have messed my head up badly… Rarely have a band sounded so malovelent… This is nasty, Black Sabbath run through a cement mixer… the sound of a world teetering on the edge of chaos – «give me napalm or the atom bomb» – «Nihil Slayride» indeed! If Satan has a soundtrack then «Nude Interlude From Hell» is it. Be scared..

Encore un putain de bons groupe signé sur le label allemand Elektrohasch, décidément label de très haute qualité pour la musique qui ont des prédominances pour la drogue dirons nous… On démarre sur un gros riff sur «Worship The Sun», on enchaîne avec un titre ultra groovy «Nihil Slayride», puis on finis avec une rapidité lourde sur «Reminder», les 3 premiers titres résument bien l’album. (…) Au final, peu de critique à émettre, juste un putain de bon disque de stoner-rock…

Thorny sharp heavy riffs will doom you thru the first two songs of Medications like if a five ton nailed bludgeon of a colossus smashes you hard as imagined over your head. After that, reasonably thinking this will be another doom masterpiece, Phased surprises you with the garaged riffed Reminder, followed by another one of the same kind. You got now two faces of the same band in the same album…

Phased assails with drudgey, Sabbath-inspired riff waves, crafting a big, heavy doomy sound. Aggro vocals bellow out across the dark, doom soundscape, creating an aural assault that is both gloomy and funny. These guys could kick your ass or buy you a drink and share a laugh. Maybe both. The point is that if you dig doom rock then you need to get Phased.

If death has to do with doom (and vice versa), then there is definitely much of it in here, since Black Sabbath and riff-master Tony Iommi come immediately into mind. (...) I make now a parenthesis and refer to the love-it-or-hate-it extraordinary vocals of Phased. Either you call them thrilling or misanthropic, extraterrestrial, hellish or even funny at sometimes, they are for sure distinctive and comprise an element that gives the sound of Phased a characteristic fingerprint…
